Cultural Strategy Steering Group, Peterborough (May:2021).

Working within my immediate community (especially women), meeting at various locations in the city a series of consultations were held. Reflecting the lived experiences of women of colour, a textile art work titled “Hands of Otherness ” was created. The hand outlines in the artwork and the designs were contributed by participants. This textile work is reflective of the story of migrant women in the city, their views and the contributions to the local community. A series of proposals were made as outcome of this project. The resulting artwork, Hands of otherness was displayed in an exhibition – I Matter, with Babylon Arts, in Peterborough and Ely.
